How to get Mobile and Off-Campus Access to E-Resources

Some library resources can be used via mobile devices or from off-campus. This guide will help identify which resources do so, and how.

Mobile Access

Nimitz Library offers some electronic databases which can be accessed by your mobile device when off-campus.  Certain resources can even be used by off-campus non-mobile computers.  In almost all cases, you will need to be on-campus to authenticate your mobile device, and then you can access your resources for a time period afterwards.

Follow the instructions in this guide to identify relevant electronic resources and how to access them.  Contact the Electronic Resources Librarian if you have questions or encounter errors.

Please note that current students, faculty, and staff are the only authorized users of Nimitz Library's subscribed resources when accessing them from off-campus.

Nimitz Library subscribes to a very large number of databases and e-journals, only some of which are listed in this guide.  If you would like us to investigate whether other resources could be included in this guide, please direct your feedback to the Electronic Resources Librarian, and we will attempt to include off-campus access instructions to more resources.
