Journal Rankings, Citation Tracking and Management

How to find journal rankings, build a record of your scholarship and manage citations used in your research.

Google Scholar Citations

Google Scholar Citations provides a freely available method for authors to establish a profile and track citations to their articles.  Google Scholar graphs and calculates citation metrics, which are updated when there are new citations to an author’s publications.  You can keep your profile private or make it public so it appears in Google Scholar results if someone searches for your name, e.g., Lucy Holman.

ORCID provides a unique digital identifier that distinguishes you from other scholars.  Especially useful for those with common names, the ORCID identifier can be added to a variety of your research activities.  Google Scholar citations can be imported into ORCID via BibTeX (.bib) files.
