These are common call number areas you are likely to find:
Call numbers A-C are shelved on the ground floor; call numbers D-K are shelved on the second floor; call numbers L-Z are shelved on the third floor.
You can also check the Oxford Bibliographies Online database for entries on the Cold War
For entries within each of the above two volumes you should check the "Bibliography" or list of References at the end of the entry. For example, here is a sample entry snipit on the Cuban Missile Crisis within Vol. 6:
