Meteorological Data for Atmospheric Processes

National Atmospheric Deposition Program

The National Atmospheric Deposition Program is a collaborative multi-organizational effort to collect, monitor and report precipitation chemistry and atmospheric deposition data.

The Program's National Trends Network collects weekly precipitation samples and provides a long-term record of precipitation chemistry data across the United States.

The precipitation data at this resource include:

  • pH

  • Composition

  • Concentration

The Atmospheric Integrated Research Monitoring Network (AIRMoN), which operated from 1992 until 2019, collected precipitation data on single storms to facilitate studies of atmospheric processes and the computer simulations based on those processes. The data from that project remain accessible on the AIRMoN website.
